The working groups of the Institute of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry research the structure, dynamics and reactivity of basic chemical model systems, membranes, associates on surfaces and komplex materials up to biomolecular machines in complete cells.

Modern methods

We are not only applying modern physical methods in the range of spectroscopy and microscopy as well as quantum chemical and molecular dynamical methods, we are also developing new methods.
